Steven is the director of the Waikato Experimental Economics Laboratory.  He uses experimental economic methods to study research questions in a range of fields in economics such as financial economics, risk and uncertainty, environmental economics and macroeconomics. His research deals with topics such as: factors that mitigate asset market bubble formation; mechanisms to provide public goods through voluntary contributions; mechanisms to reduce insurance fraud; and mechanisms to reduce nutrient pollution.
